5day website

We helped Norwich University College of the Arts (NUCA) complete the final stages of a corporate re-branding exercise with the launch of a new content managed website.

Overview

From a visual perspective it was important that the new website complemented the rest of NUCA's marketing material and provided end users with a seamless and consistent brand experience. The client also needed a robust platform that was well supported, flexible and scalable to meet their ongoing requirements.

Objectives / Approach

Following a detailed review of the NUCA's requirements we decided to develop the website using the open source Joomla content management system.

To ensure a smooth, cost effective delivery we made full use of the extensive range of modules that form a large part of the Joomla CMS - some of which we customised and extended to better suit NUCA's requirements.

As well as being a key component in NUCA's overall marketing strategy, the new site had to perform on numerous levels for varied target audiences to:

  • Compliment the new NUCA brand
  • Work as an acquisition tool for both UK and international students
  • Be flexible enough to grow with the organisation
  • Perform well in natural search
  • Be easily administered by multiple users
  • Support ongoing marketing activity.

Results

The result is an eye-catching, user-friendly platform that showcases NUCA and all it has to offer to full effect, resulting in:

  • Increased international registration
  • A clearer more succinct proposition
  • Improved natural search position
  • A system that is easier to manage and update
  • Consistent brand experience.

Testimonial

NUCA's Marketing Manager David Girling said:
"We asked Soak to build a 100% content managed site using 3rd party php software. We have been extremely impressed with their professionalism, advice and attention to detail. They have delivered the project on time in a very short timescale. We have subsequently appointed them for online marketing support and look forward to working with them in the future."
