5day website

Just six months after launch, the 5DAY website had driven a massive 42% increase in bookings and the school introduced a new course structure to cope with demand.

Overview

5DAY is one of the UK's largest independent driving schools specialising in intensive driving courses for learner drivers of all ages.

Although their existing site was receiving reasonable visitor numbers (through radio and PPC advertising) it wasn't converting these visitors into sales.

The site was looking tired and lacked a clear proposition. It needed to appeal and more importantly convert a target market made up of predominantly young drivers and their parents.

Objectives / Approach

The new website needed to inform and educate visitors about the whole 5DAY proposition, providing them with easy routes into key areas of the site and:

  • Inform, educate and convert visitors
  • Improve the natural search position
  • Channel users into the sales pipeline and booking process
  • Allow 5DAY to easily manage courses/bookings.

Results

Soak produced a series of prototype design layouts that were tested on existing students.

We then went on to develop the new site, content management system and online booking and payment methods.

In the sixth month period since the site went live, 5DAY had:

  • A 42% increase in bookings
  • Substantial improvement in their natural search position
  • Improved their paid search strategy, lowering the overall cost per sale
  • Improved back-end office efficiencies
  • Introduced an additional evening course to cope with demand.

Testimonial

5DAY's operations director Richard Minkler comments:
"The team at Soak have been great to work with. They understood our business from the outset and have delivered us a website that is converting visitors into real paying customers".
